The museum is entirely dedicated to the work of Robert Capa, arguably the greatest war photographer and innovator of photojournalism of all time opens in Troina data. It is located in the Palazzo Pretura in the heart of the historic center, a few steps from Piazza Conte Ruggero.

“Fragments of War in Sicily”, the photography collection on display, consists of sixty-two valuable photographic prints, largely unpublished, and obtained from original negatives.
The battlefield events, the destruction, the suffering of civilians, and the everyday life of the local inhabitants living in areas invaded and reduced to rubble, are beautifully documented by these touching photographs taken in Sicily by Capa during WWII. They are the visual record of a photographer who chose to spend a large portion of his life immersed in the harsh realities of war. With great empathy and sensibility, Capa was able to capture the gestures, glances, and profound emotions of soldiers and civilians alike through the perfect stillness of a photograph.
